Product Principle
Operating on the Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) principle, the PT100 sensor utilizes a pure platinum resistor whose resistance increases linearly with temperature. The resistance value at 0°C is 100Ω (PT100), and it follows the DIN IEC 60751 standard for reliability. The sensor converts temperature changes into electrical signals, which can be easily read by instruments or control systems.
